Danske Bank is searching for an Indirect tax specialist to the Norwegian branch. The position will provide the right candidate with a great opportunity to be part of an innovative and international tax environment. As part of Group Tax in Danske Bank’s Group Finance organization, you will be working in an international environment together with colleagues in different countries. In addition, you will be supporting colleagues in the Norwegian Business with day-to-day Norwegian VAT.
Your workplace will be at Danske Bank in Oslo, and you will report to Kristina, Head of Nordic Tax, who is based in Stockholm.
Execution and development
As an indirect tax specialist, you will play an important part in defining the tax needs of the Norwegian business. You will take the lead responsibility for ensuring that the bank is VAT compliant in Norway, maintaining and developing processes related to VAT and other indirect taxes. This is an important role with a broad range of tasks, where you coordinate and monitor VAT aspects with VAT colleagues in the Group as well as participate and develop Danske Banks VAT community and secure knowledge and best practices are shared within the group. You will represent the branch in relevant external organizations and be the contact person towards the Norwegian tax authorities in relation to VAT questions.
Other tasks include risk mapping and analysis of processes and flows within all VAT areas, preparation and adoption of internal instructions and guidelines. Further, to produce impact analysis on key VAT initiatives and rulings, preparation of pro rata calculations and work in close cooperation with Finance department.
Your overall aim will be to develop, execute and maintain the group's VAT strategy.
About you
We are looking for someone who is pro-active and curios to learn. You must be able to work in close collaboration across the bank while also working independently. You work structured, with an analytic and flexible mind-set where you are pro-active and able to work informally with colleagues across the organization and with ability to timely deliver high and efficient quality.
Regarding your professional background you should have:
- A degree in Law or Finance
- 4-6 years of relevant working experience with VAT, preferable within the financial sector
