Senior SW-Engineer, automation/control of electrical machines and electrification in general

NOV Electrical Power Systems is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with automation/ control competence. 

We need to strengthen our team working with electrification and electrical machines, for instance winches and cranes. NOV is entering new markets such as offshore wind and fish farming. The role will be innovative and actively involved in new developing new solutions. 

The holder of the position will be involved in developing automative systems for electrification and energy management, utilizing the “latest and greatest” in electrical power components. NOV has invested in advanced test facilities for prototype testing and development.

Relevant experience can be:

• Software experience from Siemens TIA or similar
• Experience with electrical motors, DC-grids, frequency drives or battery systems 
• Use of Matlab or Simulink

Personal traits:

• Eager to keep updated within your professional field
• Collaborative and positive attitude
• The right candidate has a drive for innovation and pursuing the latest and greatest in technical solutions.

Education:

• Master or bachelor within cybernetics, renewable (electrical power systems) or similar
