Principal Engineer - Operations & Maintenance

We are looking for an Operation & Maintenance Engineer with practical field experience who is interested in engineering projects. The Field Development & Offshore Wind business unit in Oslo currently covers three main segments; Offshore Wind, Hydrogen and Oil & Gas. Low carbon and zero emission solutions are in focus in all three segments.
About the position
In this role, you will significantly contribute to the timely delivery of projects at the same time as having the opportunity to apply your practical experience in a project environment. You will influence design and help define the maintenance approach to new and ongoing projects. This requires the practical perspective gained on the field and a multidisciplinary mindset. You will interact with discipline engineers in the area of electrical, mechanics, safety, automation, reliability and contribute to providing a practical insight on operations and maintenance and assist in creating maintenance plans, spare parts lists and O&M Manuals. You will be involved in a myriad of activities, from conceptual studies to tenders, FEED and EPCI in a very dynamic project portfolio.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Assist in creating maintenance plans and spare parts lists
- Assist in composing Operation and Maintenance Manuals
- Develop, review and maintain troubleshooting guides / FMECA’s
- Work closely with RAM Engineer to develop FMECA’s and provide input for RAM (Reliability, Availability and Maintainability) Report
- Contribute to Area & Layout, Engineering for Procurement and Systems Design for a practical understanding of the equipment maintenance needs, accessibility, etc.
- Review and comment on suppliers’ and internal technical documentation so to ensure high quality
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or automation engineering is an advantage
- Extended experience may compensate for lack of formal education
- Experience from offshore projects is an advantage
- Strong competence within maintenance
- 10+ years’ experience on supervising, planning or executing maintenance work in offshore installations
