Do you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a diplomatic approach to customer relationships? MacGregor is looking to hire a detail-oriented and structured candidate with technical background for the role of Operations Coordinator to join our team.

The purpose of this role is for you to coordinate service operations, communicating with customers, and ensuring timely delivery of services. Your day- to-day responsibilities will include coordinating service operations to fulfil customer requirements, including preparing service jobs, arranging technical documentation, and ordering subcontractor/shipyard/sister company services. Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide timely updates on service delivery.

Other tasks and responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure compliance with company deadlines for filing and invoicing
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to identify opportunities for growth and revenue
• Collaborate with service engineers to ensure effective delivery of services
• Analyse costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining quality standards

You will work in close collaboration with our customers, and internally our service engineers and technical department. This role is part of our Global Services Division and reports directly to the Operations Manager. This position is located in our head office in Kristiansand.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Technical education at Bachelors- or Technical College 
• Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education
• Strong economic sense and ability to work within budget constraints
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, interacting with internal teams and customers
• Flexibility in working hours, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
• Proficient in technical English and Norwegian, spoken and written
