For a project in Dubai, we are looking for a Commissioning Area Completion Engineer
The Commissioning Area Completion Engineer, reporting to the Commissioning Mechanical Utility Lead, will be an integral part of the PDE Project Team. The role involves collaborating within the PDE organization, systems, plans, procedures, and methods to ensure successful commissioning and start-up activities.
Job Description

Documentation Quality: Monitor the quality of discipline-related documentation and engineering activities within the EPC towards Commissioning Area Completion disciplines.

Information Management: Ensure all necessary information for commissioning and start-up is available from the Contractor side.

Completion System Data: Ensure the completion system (PIMS) has the necessary data to execute system and sub-system definitions, P&ID mark-ups, and the development of commissioning procedures.

Procedure Reviews: Review FAT procedures, vendor commissioning procedures, and preservation procedures related to Area Completion.

Coordination: Coordinate key activities, including PFDs/UFDs, P&IDs, boundary drawings, process data sheets, plans, and field activities.

Compliance: Ensure relevant activities conform to the company framework, contracts, Yard Execution Plan, and regulations, prioritizing health and safety.

Representation: Act as Altera’s representative for the Commissioning discipline, ensuring activities are according to plan and executed cooperatively with the project team.

Communication: Foster good cooperation and alignment between the base organization and the project.

Scope Clarification: Work with PDE operations team and client to provide clear guidance on scope of work definitions.

Verification: Collaborate with JV Yard organization, Altera Construction Team, and Client to ensure compliance and verification activities.

Commissioning Network: Participate in establishing a Commissioning network in the Project Completion System PIMS CMS, and in meetings, inspections, and tri-party walks.

Execution: Ensure timely planning and execution of Commissioning activities.

Support: Provide support to other disciplines with interfacing commissioning activities and coordinate interfaces across all disciplines, including engineering and contractor.

Development: Drive development and implementation of Commissioning activities for the FPSO project.

Handover: Participate in the handover process from Commissioning to Operations for assigned Mechanical and Utility systems, including Area Completion.

Work Pack Reviews: Participate in work pack review sessions and preparation.

Progress Reporting: Report any delays in progress to the Commissioning Mechanical/Utility Lead.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other key disciplines in the Engineering Team and call off assistance from discipline resources.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as required by the Commissioning Mechanical/Utility Lead.
Qualification Requirements

Education: Technical education at Bachelor level or equivalent experience.

Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in operation, project execution, and Commissioning.

Client Experience: Previous experience with Equinor for Mechanical and Utility systems, including Area Completion, is a significant advantage.

International Experience: Operating experience from the Norwegian continental shelf and international projects is highly advantageous.

Regional Experience: Relevant experience from Middle Eastern/Southeast Asian shipyards is a major advantage.

FPSO Redeployment: Strongly desired experience in FPSO redeployment.

North Sea Projects: Recent experience working in a similar role on UK North Sea projects is an advantage.

Skills: Leadership, interpersonal skills, organized, systematic, and flexible.

Language: Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
