VIKING seeks an Improvement Program Manager

About the role:
As an Improvement Program Manager at VIKING, you will be a part of our manufacturing team located in Arendal, Norway.
You will lead and follow up the global improvement programs across factories, covering quality, safety, lifecycle cost, efficiency, sustainability an servitization. Furthermore, setting ambitious targets for the department and initiate project that support our Business plan are also important areas of responsibility in this position.
The key tasks and responsibility:
- Leading the global improvement programs across factories, covering quality, safety, lifecycle cost, efficiency, sustainability and servitization
- Follow up globally on improvements projects regardless of location and coordinate with local PE team
- Support local Kaizen improvements
- Participate in NPI (New Product introduction) related to Manufacturing
- Coordinate with Production Engineers to optimize processes
- Drive project by use of tools from Lean and other improvement concepts
- Streamlining and enhancing production processes to ensure continuous development and improvement, e.g. through the application of LEAN principles
- Work with operational optimization and Work closely with other department to achieve best results
- Align and follow up IT projects for manufacturing towards IT department.
Job qualifications:
- Higher formal education with-in economy, Business and or Management
- Project management experience
- Experience from working with Lean or other improvement programs
- Long relevant experience may compensate for the formal education requirement
