Wilhelmsen Ship Management is looking for a Global Internal Audit Manager

Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) is one of the world’s largest third-party ship managers originated from Oslo, Norway with over 20,000 employees including our seafarers with a portfolio of more than 450 vessels and counting. Our employees are working with a comprehensive global maritime group providing over half of the merchant fleet with essential products and services, along with supplying crew and technical management to the largest and most complex vessels ever to sail.

We are currently looking for a Global Internal Audit Manager to join our team.

The Global Internal Audit Manager will be responsible for continuously improving our internal audits based on your system reviews, Regulatory Updates, Suggestions for Improvement, Management Reviews, Industry Best Practice, Experience Feedback and Fleet Performance analysis.

What you’ll be doing:

• Contributing to the company’s vision and mission
• Managing the global audit team as well as coordinating
• Ensuring our internal audits effectively verify implementation of our Policies, Procedures and relevant requirements related to Health, Safety, Quality and the Environment
• Driving continual improvement of company's processes and procedures for internal audits
• Analysing and following up on internal audit performance
• Keeping the team of auditors updated on new rules and regulations, safety bulletins etc.

What we are looking for: 

• Preferably has a BSc degree in HSE, may be compensated
• by relevant experience
• Owns the mindset of wanting to enhance your own and our team’s performance
• Has excellent communication skills and ability to work in a Team
• Has strong knowledge of auditing principles, standards, and methodologies
• Has sound understanding of the shipping industry, its operations and regulations
• Is analytic and has strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Is goal and results orientated
• Has strong computer skills
• Works well under pressure and meet deadlines
