Opportunities within Marine Analysis & Mooring system design for Offshore Wind
In Odfjell Technology, our vision is to use our heritage and expertise to support the energy transition. Our overall aim is to safely deliver services and technology which reduce time, costs, and carbon emissions. Projects & Engineering is part of Odfjell Technology, with teams of highly skilled multidiscipline engineers, project managers, and support functions located in Bergen, Stavanger, Aberdeen, and Manila.
We are experiencing an increase in activity across our project portfolio and are therefore looking for motivated, proactive, and ambitious Senior/Principal Marine Engineer to join our team in Bergen. As Senior/Principal Marine Engineers, you will have a central role in our Marine Analysis team and develop innovative and cost-efficient solutions for our clients, such as designing marine spreads for Odfjell Oceanwind's floating wind units and ultimately ensuring the successful realization of their projects.
If you identify with our core values - committed, safety-conscious, creative, competent, and result-oriented - and possess a "can-do" spirit, we are looking for YOU to join our team.

Moorings system design:
- Design and develop mooring systems for offshore floaters, i.e., mobile offshore drilling units and floating offshore wind units
- Conduct stability and dynamic response analyses to ensure the reliability of mooring configurations
- Select appropriate materials and components for mooring lines, anchors, and connectors
Advanced modeling and simulation:
- Develop and validate numerical models for floating structures and mooring systems
- Use software tools such as OrcaFlex and Mimosa to perform simulations and assess the impact of wave, current, and wind forces on floating structures
- Utilize simulations to optimize design and ensure compliance with industry standards
Project development:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of mooring system designs into overall projects
- Prepare technical reports, design documents, and presentations for stakeholders
- Provide technical support during the installation and commissioning of mooring systems
- As needed, provide on-site support (surveys, yard stays, etc.) during installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mooring systems
