Unique Opportunity: Become Our New Institutional Partnership Advisor
Mission Alliance is seeking an experienced Institutional Partnership Advisor to drive our strategic process of increasing public and institutional funding. This unique opportunity allows you to leverage your experience and build a grants portfolio alongside competent colleagues globally.
Mission Alliance's ambitious new Strategy (2024-2028) prioritizes diversifying and strengthening institutional funding. We are establishing this new role to set the direction and develop our global institutional strategy and systems. The Advisor must have documented experience and results in institutional and public funding.
In this role, you will advance our institutional partnerships and donor relations, playing a critical part in building and managing relationships with key donors and supporting our country offices with strategic donor engagement. As the hub for institutional funding competence within the organization, you will be central in enhancing others' knowledge and skills as needed. You will coordinate and develop applications in collaboration with program advisors at country offices, partner organizations, and the international department in Oslo.
Mission Alliance is a Christian organization working with communities and local partners to empower people to shape their own future. We contribute to economic inclusion, safeguarding, and strengthened civil society in 11 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, with a portfolio totaling over 80 million NOK, about half of which comes from Norad funds through Digni.
The position reports to the International Director and collaborates closely with the advisor for monitoring, evaluation and learning, the Section for Programme and Grant Management, and staff at country offices.
In this position, you will:
- Identify funding opportunities applicable to Mission Alliance’s strategic direction and programme portfolio.
- Keep updated on trends and priorities for global institutional funders.
- Lead the development of regional and global applications, supporting and guiding country offices in the proposal process.
- Be responsible for donor compliance and ensuring good relationships with existing and potential donors.
- Advice country offices and the Oslo office in donor strategies, policies, priorities, requirements, and keep us updated on relevant funding opportunities and calls.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant higher education, and proven results from attracting institutional funding.
- Commitment to and experience with increasing funding and positioning for new funding opportunities.
- Strong understanding of development assistance, donor compliance and priorities of global institutional funders.
- In depth experience in developing funding proposals, reporting and budgeting.
- Good analytical skills, writing skills and knowledge of project design.
- Strong networking and collaboration skills.
- Good language skills in English, and preferably Norwegian.
- Knowledge of Latin America and Spanish is desirable.
