Business Analyst – Financial Crime Prevention, Tietoevry Banking (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Business Analyst with a strategic and analytical mind, along with a keen eye for detail and structure to join our team at Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) business unite in Tietoevry, in Oslo.
FCP delivers a holistic set of services covering Identity, Fraud Prevention and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) to prevent criminal activity in the financial industry and enable customers to comply with regulations, standards and internal risk assessments. FCP consists of 150 employees based mainly in Norway and Sweden and is looking to expand to other European countries.
As a Business Analyst at Tietoevry, you will be play an important role in analysing business processes, creating flowcharts, identifying improvements opportunities, and developing business cases. You will also perform economic analyses, including ROI analyses and profitability models, and contribute to the development of pricing proposals and strategies. The product team works closely within the unite, across Tietoevry and with customers.
Data and Business Analysis:
- Perform data and business analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Conduct detailed analysis of products, business processes, and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Conduct economic analyses, including ROI analyses and profitability models, to assess the financial impact of product or development initiatives
- Monitor and report on the performance, ROI, and KPIs
Strategic Initiatives and Decision-Making:
- Develop business cases to support strategic product initiatives and decision-making
- Develop and present product pricing proposals and strategies to ensure competitive and profitable offerings
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and best practices to provide informed recommendations
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements.
Process Optimization and Project Support:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and recommend best practices
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress
Operational Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the invoicing and forecasting process in the Product Unit
- Be an advisor and contributor in pre-sales meetings
- Contribute across the product team collaborating with various stakeholders to achive shared goals
- Report to the Head of Product
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years proven experience as an Analyst, Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or similar role, with a focus on business process analysis and continuous improvement.
- Or 3+ years as a consultant with similar responsibilities.
- Experience with product development.
- Experience in strategic product pricing, financial performance, cost calculations, budgeting, and ROI-analysis.
- Experience from one or more product area within; trust services, Fraud Prevention- and/or KYC/AML product is an advantage
- Experience in agile development methodologies, i.e., Scrum, SAFe frameworks is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in creating flowcharts and visual representations.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, BI tools).
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Good pre-sale and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both orally and in writing.
