The position
Equinor is the largest supplier of pipeline gas in Europe. In this position you will be part of Gas & Power, Sales & Customer Relations (SCR) which consists of three commercial units: Western Europe (WE), Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and Hydrogen & Contracts (HYC); as well as a Customer Relationship Management team. The three commercial units co-operate closely and actively share and allocate resources within SCR.
In general terms SCR is responsible for bilateral sales of Equinor’s natural gas and hydrogen in Europe, with main office locations in Stavanger, Brussels and London.
In this role you will be assigned to the Western Europe team in Stavanger, but will serve all of the commercial units in SCR. You will be working with a broad set of stakeholders across SCR and also towards Risk, Trading and Commercial Operations.
By joining our team in Gas & Power you will have the opportunity to:- Be responsible for active follow-up and risk management of financial exposure of the bilateral sales portfolio.
- Create added value through tight follow-up of nominations and expected off-take and balancing costs for the industry portfolio.
- Be responsible for development of required tools and dashboards to follow up on P&L, risk management and balancing risk, in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the further development of the Customer Relationship Management operating model; e.g. periodic customer segmentation, CRM communication portal and CRM tool.
The position is at a junior level and provides an exciting opportunity for a candidate with aspirations and an eagerness to develop their commercial capabilities, as well as gain a thorough knowledge of European portfolio markets.

For this position, we are also looking for:
- A master’s degree, preferably within either financial, economical or mathematical-based subjects.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a professional, corporate office setting.
- A commercial mindset and attitude, with an ability to identify and develop opportunities.
- Strong analytical and digital skills, with the ability to structure, utilise and visualise information in a commercial and dynamic environment.
- A person who is self-driven, forward leaning and creative.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and network with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Someone who is a team player, with high standards and integrity.
- A professional level of English, both written and spoken.
