Are you KSAT's new System Engineer Manager?

Operations Engineering are looking for a motivated leader for the position of Manager for the department System Engineering - Cloud based systems. In this role, you will have operational responsibility for the next generation ground station architecture in KSATs global network. You will lead a technical team of system engineers working on standardized solutions with a focus on standardizing technical services on standard platforms.

The position reports to the Director of Operations Engineering and will be part of the Operations Engineering leadership team.

Your Mission:

• Leadership and Employee Development: Responsible for leading and developing the team members both personally and professionally.
• Strategic Work: Take an active and clear role in shaping the department's strategic direction in line with KSAT's strategy.
• Recruitment: Lead and carry out recruitment processes for the team and ensure proper training of new employees.
• Budget: Prepare and follow-up budget for future investments of tech refresh and operations.
• Resource Allocation: Coordinate and follow up on staffing in projects and deliveries and ensure good routines and processes for handling the team's tasks.
• Collaboration: Be at the forefront to create good collaboration within the team and towards other KSAT departments. Ensure good processes for integrating new products and satellite missions on operational systems.
• Services: The technical team will typically manage technical services such as Open Stack, Software modem's, Control systems, data management, data distribution systems and more. The team supports Launch & LEOP activities.

Desired Qualifications:

We expect you to have a Master of Science or equivalent in relevant engineering disciplines, preferably experience with cloud computing and technology, signal processing and computer engineering.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve technical challenges and prioritize tasks.

Experience from the space industry will be an advantage but is not a requirement
