Senior Engineers – Pipe Stress

We are looking for Senior Engineers to strengthen our Pipe Stress and Support department in Oslo. We work on exciting projects within oil and gas, offshore wind, and hydrogen plants. If you have a minimum of 10 years of experience with EPC projects, we’d love to hear from you!
About the position
As a Senior Pipe Stress Engineer, your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive stress analysis of critical piping using Caesar II software, preparing stress-critical line lists, spring specifications, and stress reports, and providing guidance to designers regarding flexibility and pipe support requirements for non-critical lines.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Perform detailed checking of calculations made by other Stress Engineers
- Maintain close coordination with various disciplines, such as mechanical, structural, process, to solve issues and achieve an optimal solution
- Coordination with site/yard to solve vibration and pipe support related issues and queries
- Prepare stress isometrics using microstation or CAD based softwares
- Perform piping component, fittings & relevant weld calculations using industry standards & codes
- Perform dynamic calculations involving slugging, surge, fatigue
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree complemented by a decade of professional experience
- Experienced user of Caesar II software
- Good knowledge of several required standards such as API, ASME, NEMA-SM23, NORSOK etc is essential
- Being able to speak and write English fluently is essential for this job
- Knowledge of Finite element software will be an advantage, but is not a prerequisite
