Role Description
Are you a passionate leader with a drive for fostering commercial excellence in a dynamic startup setting? Are you prepared to roll up your sleeves and play a key role in driving our path to excellence? As the Commercial Director at HANCE, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of our commercial operation, responsible for developing and executing our go-to-market strategy, building and leading sales teams, devising pricing strategies, negotiating customer contracts, and securing strategic partnerships. You will use a data-driven approach in all aspects of commercialization, identifying and targeting key customers to drive our growth.
Additionally, you will stay updated on industry trends and competitive dynamics, and work closely with our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to effectively introduce and promote HANCE’s products in various markets
- Providing decisive leadership and guidance to the commercial team, nurturing a culture of excellence, and optimizing revenue-generating opportunities
- Develop strong relationships with key customers and partners with top-tier clients (mid-large global tech companies)
- Lead negotiations for major customer contracts and strategic partnerships
- Set clear commercial targets and objectives, and monitor team performance
- Align commercial strategies with product development, marketing and customer success initiatives
- Develop and refine pricing strategies that maximize profitability and growth
- Analyze sales metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to continuously improve strategies and performance
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and support to ensure team success
- Lead analysis to identify market opportunities, industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive dynamics
- Represent HANCE at industry events and conferences to expand our network and generate leads
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in B2B sales/commercial leadership
- Ambitious with a proven track record in sales, contract negotiations and commercialization through analysis, collaboration and communication
- Persistence to make things happen within tight deadlines
- Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing commercial teams in a fast changing environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to transform complex business challenges into opportunities and present effectively to all layers of the organization
- Energized by a performance, fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events
- Experience with tools like HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI sales tools
- Experience in AI, audio, video or communication products and services is a plus
- Experience within consumer electronics, digital radio communications, music technology, defense or security is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus
- Experience working in startups or scaleups is a plus
