We are looking for a motivated and experienced engineer to take the role as Project Lead Engineer in our automation department in Bergen. This position will be the technical lead for engineering project activities such as programming and system configuration on ABB’s control systems. The technology will typically be 800xA, Advant, Safeguard, Harmony/Symphony+ or Melody.
Areas of responsibilities:
- The job involves tasks as planning and execution of engineering activities, testing, installation, and commissioning at site (onshore or offshore).
- Ensuring that activities related to engineering activities within projects are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Travelling must be expected.
Your background:
- Engineering degree, bachelor or master (B.Sc./M.Sc.), within the areas of automation, cybernetics, IT, process control or similar.
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience
- Understanding of computer systems and process automation
- Experience with ABB control system is an advantage
- Experience from Norwegian energy industry
- Service mindset with customer focus and a desire to deliver good quality projects
- Good communication skills in English, verbal and written
