Northern Lights is expanding its digitalization team and seeking new members. This role is key in providing smooth IT/digital operations. We welcome junior candidates and will provide coaching to help you grow and succeed, while building strong relationships internally and externally.
This position is located in Stavanger.

Your role
- Assist with daily operations of IT-related tasks and coordinate digitalization projects.
- Monitor and maintain Northern Light's digital infrastructure, systems, and digital platforms.
- Coordinate and plan software updates, security patches, and digitalization projects with internal and external vendors.
- Support employees with basic IT issues, requests, and guidance on digital tools.
- Contribute to the documentation of IT procedures, system configurations, and digitalization processes.
- Receive mentoring and serve as a link between the business side and our digital execution team.
What we need from you?
The Northern Lights team operates with a "one team" and a strong new business mentality with support from shareholders both directly and through various Service Agreements.
You will need to be willing and able to challenge conventional thinking and approaches to arrive at innovative, fit for purpose and effective business outcomes.
More specifically:
- Problem-solving and analytical mindset with a proactive approach to digitalization.
- Service-oriented, helpful, and an effective communicator of digital solutions.
- Willing to learn, adaptable, and comfortable with rapid technological change.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent with a focus on digitalization.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure, system administration, and digital transformation.
- Experience from working with corporate IT-governance.
- Ability to work independently and in teams across technological and organizational boundaries.
- Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English, both written and verbal.
- Experience and certification in Agile Methodology (SAFe).
- Sprint planning, PI planning, backlog management, and documentation of functional requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in collaborating with both business partners and developers.
- Experience and solid understanding of Atlassian software (Jira and Confluence) or similar tools.
- Familiarity with SQL and Python.
Om arbeidsgiveren
Northern Lights JV is responsible for developing and operating CO2 transport and storage facilities, open to third parties, as part of Longship, the Norwegian Government’s full-scale carbon capture and storage project. When it starts operations in 2024, it will be the first ever cross-border, open-source CO2 transport and storage infrastructure network, shipping CO2 to an onshore receiving terminal at Øygarden on the Norwegian west coast, before being transported by pipeline for permanent storage in a reservoir 2,600 metres under the seabed.
Northern Lights JV DA is a registered, incorporated General Partnership with Shared Liability (DA) owned equally by Equinor, Shell and TotalEnergies.
