We Need Your Expertise with Design of Embedded Electronics on Our Quest to Advance Adaptive Robot Intelligence
InMind is a newly formed company taking on the challenge of making robots learn. Our ambitious goal is to develop the world’s first real-time adaptive system for embedded deep learning.
From our headquarters in Trondheim the engineering work has already started. The work is based on the technical expertise of our founder Torgeir Trøite, an electrical engineer and successful serial entrepreneur. We are now building a strong technical team who will need to solve challenges, work hard and have lots of fun along the way in order to achieve our ambitious and potential world-changing goal.
“We have bold ambitions! InMind is advancing robot intelligence that allows robots to learn from their environment and adapt to new tasks autonomously. Personally, I strongly believe that the ability for robots to learn and improve is the key to future productivity and innovation.” – Torgeir Trøite, Founder/CEO/Head of Development
Join our R&D Team as our Expert on Embedded Electronics Design
Our current goal is to build a team of 6-8 engineers working together on all the various aspects that are needed to enable us to deliver a working and learning robotics system.
The Senior Electronics Design Engineer will work on all aspects of development of customized electronics.
For this position we are searching for a candidate who checks off on most of the following key qualifications & experience :
- Schematic and Layout Design: Expertise in schematic capture and PCB layout design, particularly using tools like Altium.
- Analog and Digital Circuit Design: Proficiency in designing analog front-end (AFE) circuits, ADCs, DACs, and working with FPGAs. Experience with power supply units (PSU) and handling EMI/EMC considerations.
- Interfaces and Communication Protocols: Knowledge of DDR memory, UART communication, and various sensor interfaces.
- Simulation and Analysis: Experience with simulation tools like LTspice, and familiarity with noise analysis and impedance control.
- Testing and Debugging: Proficiency with testing and debugging tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters. Skills in board bring-up, boot processes, and PHY layer implementation.
- Components and Production: Understanding of components like batteries, connectors, cables, LEDs, switches, and filters. Experience in grounding, shielding, soldering, and production processes.
- Environmental Considerations: Knowledge of ESD protection, thermal management (heat dissipation), and reliability testing.
We do not require a specific university degree, as your hands-on experience and practical knowledge are what is essential to us. However, holding a BSc or MSc in a relevant filed such as electronics, analog- or digital design, cybernetics, or engineering is an advantage
Who are You as a Person?
The challenge we are taking will truly by a team effort and the most important personal trait is your enthusiasm and dedication to building a strong technical team with an open and collaborative culture. Our hypothesis is that people you work with will see you as:
