Mechanical Technician

We are looking for a new Mechanical Technician to join our team. The purpose of the role is to participate in all activities related to the workshop.

Main activities & Responsibilities:

• Participate in all activities related to the workshop
• Main product line for this position will be Side Pocket Mandrels, Annulus Safety Valves & Kickover tools
• Contribute to continual improvement of routines
• Comply with HSE rules and regulations to ensure that all work in the workshop is conducted in a correct and safe manner
• Complete and submit all required paperwork and reporting accurately and timely
• Assist engineering with regards to developing new products
• Perform assembly and pressure testing of all Interwell products in a safe manner
• Training of new personnel
• Perform first and second stage inspection of parts delivered to Interwell
• Stop any job if not adhering to Interwell standards or procedures, or any other activity
• Actively participate in all required aspects of QHSE awareness, education and training

Requirements:

• Secondary education is essential
• Mechanical qualification is preferred
• Oil and gas industry experience is preferred
• Work experience from a technical, engineering or craft environment is preferred
• Able to read and understand technical drawings
• Experience using technical tools, instruments and measuring equipment
• Undertake an analysis of the job requirements and coordinate required equipment
• Good English skills both written and orally
• Computer literate
• Continuously follow-up of assigned mandatory training activities
