Job Overview:

The E3D Developer is responsible for customizing and developing the E3D (Everything 3D) software application to meet the specific needs of various engineering disciplines within the company. This role involves designing and implementing new features, optimizing system functionality, and ensuring that E3D integrates seamlessly with other engineering tools. The E3D Developer will work with minimal supervision, using independent judgment to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions.

Key responsibilities:

Software Development & Customization:

- Develop and customize the E3D software application to align with the requirements of different engineering disciplines.

- Design, implement, and test new features and functionalities within E3D to enhance the software's capabilities.

- Optimize performance by refining existing features and ensuring they meet the organization’s standards and needs.

Technical Collaboration:

- Collaborate with engineering teams to gather specific software requirements and translate them into functional E3D customizations.

- Integrate E3D with other engineering software tools, ensuring compatibility and seamless data flow.

- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams on the best practices for using customized E3D features.

Continuous Improvement:

- Stay up to date with the latest E3D software updates and industry developments, incorporating relevant advancements into custom solutions.

- Collect feedback from users and continuously improve the software based on user needs and industry standards.

- Document changes and enhancements to provide a clear reference for future development.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in E3D or similar engineering software customization roles.

- Strong understanding of software development principles, engineering design standards, and their application within E3D.

Skills:

- Proficient in programming languages relevant to E3D customization (e.g., C#, Python, PML).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to work independently and make informed decisions.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various engineering teams.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
