Are you our new E3D Administrator?
Job Overview:
The E3D Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, configuration, and support of the E3D (Everything 3D) software application. This role ensures smooth operation of the software across various engineering disciplines by performing routine updates, troubleshooting basic issues, and assisting users. The E3D Administrator will work under general supervision, following established procedures to maintain the system and provide support to the engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
System Maintenance & Support:
- Perform regular maintenance on the E3D application to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation.
- Assist in troubleshooting basic system issues and escalate complex problems to senior team members or software vendors as needed.
- Conduct routine system backups and support data recovery efforts to maintain data integrity and availability.
User Training & Support:
- Provide basic training and support to engineers and designers on E3D functionalities, ensuring they are comfortable with the software's core features.
- Develop and update user guides and simple training materials to aid in the daily use of E3D.
- Respond to user inquiries and resolve straightforward issues related to E3D operations.
Configuration & Compliance:
- Configure E3D settings in line with established company standards and engineering requirements.
- Ensure compliance with software usage policies and maintain data management practices within the E3D environment.
Continuous Improvement:
- Collect feedback from users on common issues and suggest improvements to senior team members for enhancing the E3D system.
- Stay updated on basic software updates and communicate relevant changes to the user community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.- 2-4 years of experience in E3D administration or a similar support role.
- Basic understanding of engineering design principles and industry standards related to E3D or similar software.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.- Basic problem-solving abilities and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining system accuracy and reliability.
