Jefferson Wells is looking for a Purchaser to join one of our clients, a rapidly growing scale-up in the green tech sector. This is your chance to step into a pivotal role where your expertise in purchasing can drive significant improvements in procurement processes and directly impact the production of cutting-edge, sustainable technology. We need someone who can start quickly, ideally within a month, to help streamline and optimize their purchasing operations.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage purchasing processes for various categories, including services, software, and production materials.
• Focus on acquiring products critical to the production of battery racks and container-sized battery packs.
• Oversee both domestic and international purchasing, including imports to Norway and cross-border transactions.
• Work closely with project managers to fully understand procurement needs and transition responsibilities.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while negotiating favorable contracts.
• Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
• Monitor logistics to guarantee the timely and efficient delivery of goods and services.
• Continuously refine pricing strategies and purchasing practices to maximize cost efficiency.
• Follow up on all purchases to ensure technical and logistical requirements are met.

Background and Qualifications:

You have a technical background, ideally with an engineering degree, though this is not required. You bring substantial experience as a purchaser, particularly in acquiring materials and components for production. Your strong understanding of logistics enables you to manage supplier deliveries effectively. You are also adept at contract negotiations and understand the intricacies of agreement frameworks. You can manage international purchasing processes and cross-border transactions with ease. Additionally, you have a solid grasp of pricing strategies and cost optimization. You communicate fluently in English, and while Norwegian is advantageous, it’s not essential. You thrive in a fast-paced, scale-up environment where independence and proactivity are key.
