We are seeking a Process Engineer for an exciting opportunity in Halden!
Jefferson Wells is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our client's team in Halden. This role is critical for maintaining and optimizing manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, relevant experience, and fluency in both Scandinavian and English.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update process technical documentation and cost standards.
- Monitor and analyze critical process and product parameters to ensure optimal process capabilities.
- Manage the Process Control Plan (PCP) and participate in safety and quality deviation handling, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Drive process improvements focused on quality and competitiveness, contributing to cost-saving initiatives.
- Identify investment needs and participate in the execution of investment projects.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on developing manufacturing capabilities and specifying new equipment.
- Support qualification activities for new materials, suppliers, and designs in cooperation with R&D and technical departments.
Background and Qualifications:
The right candidate has a degree in engineering (BSc or MSc) and relevant experience, preferably within the cable industry. Experience with extrusion processes is a plus. Familiarity with analysis tools like 8D, Ishikawa, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) is important. Proficiency in both Scandinavian languages and English is required, along with a good understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Starting date: Asap
Length of assignment: 3+3 (6 months with the possibility of extension)
