Are you an experienced leader with a passion for excellence and a drive to improve operational efficiency? We are now looking for an inspiring and dynamic Director of Operations to oversee our production operations at Gjelleråsen in Norway. Director of Operations is responsible for world known Norwegian Aquavit (and other spirits) production also including areas of production planning, employee satisfaction, local facility management and material and inventory procedures. This is a pivotal role that combines strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

• Develop and implement production strategies aligned with company goals.
• Ensure optimal resource allocation (equipment, materials, and labor) t ensure cost-effective operations and adherence to financial targets.

Operational Oversight:

• Continuously assess and improve production processes for efficiency and effectiveness using lean-techniques
• Manage production capacity to meet current and future demand, adjusting as necessary.

Quality Assurance and Control:

• high-quality standards for products.
• compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and manage the team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Promote professional growth and development opportunities for team members.
• Facilitate effective communication within the production team and with other departments.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Promote environmentally sustainable practices within the production processes.

Key skills and experience to succeed in this role:

• Financial Acumen
• BBA or similar educational background
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar position
• Proven experience with leading teams and production, knowledge of Lean, production control methods, and building high performing operations
• Fluency in Norwegian and English
• Proficiency with MS Office
