GE Vingmed Ultrasound A/S, a part of GE HealthCare, is a world leader in medical ultrasound imaging with main offices in Horten and satellite offices in Oslo and Trondheim, Norway. We are now seeking intermediate to senior level C++ software developers to strengthen our R&D team within display and image analysis. You will join a global team of highly motivated expert engineers with a focus on topics such as image filtering, 3D image navigation, rendering, quantification/measurements, real-time analysis, AI solutions and workflow optimizations.

Roles and Responsibilities- Responsible for designing, developing and testing high-performance C++ quality software in the medical ultrasound imaging domain.
- Translate user requirements to extensible and maintainable software designs.
- Leverage modern test-driven development (TDD) techniques to produce high quality C++ code with good unit, regression, and system test coverage.
- Apply refactoring techniques to improve the design, maintainability, and capabilities of the existing C++ code base.
- Produce high quality technical documentation, adhering to the high standards set by the medical industry.
- Contribute to global development projects within GE Healthcare.
We seek candidates having a degree within computer science / software engineering / medical imaging or other relevant discipline. We are looking for candidates with experience within the following areas:
- Modern C++ (14/17/20)
- Test-driven development and Agile methodology
- Software architecture and SOLID design principles
- Graphics and user interface programming (WPF, Qt++)
- Python
- Windows operating systems
- Concurrency programming (GPU and multicore)
- GPU programming (DirectX, OpenCL, CUDA)
- Computer Vision / Image Analysis / Machine Learning / Image Fusion
- Microsoft Component Object Model (COM)
