Do you want to contribute to reducing healthcare associated infections?
What will you do?
- Develop and invent technologies for incorporation of our proprietary antimicrobial technology into medical devices, e.g. catheters, sutures and products for advanced wound care
- Develop and apply inventive methods to understand and characterize the effect of processing our antimicrobial compounds into medical device materials
- Support customers in incorporating Amicoat’s technology into products by planning, executing, documenting, and presenting feasibility studies as well as supporting customers in their product development
- Work with external research providers to accelerate Amicoat’s R&D
- Laboratory synthesis of peptides and troubleshooting support to our CDMO
- Depending on your experience and skills you may be appointed responsible for chemical manufacture and control (CMC) for AMC-109
- Expand Amicoat’s technology and IP portfolio into new materials and applications by doing innovative research
- A mix of practical work in the laboratory and office work
- Represent Amicoat towards customers and at conferences
- Publish relevant work in peer reviewed journals
What do you need to succeed?

Furthermore, you should enjoy taking on big responsibilities while efficiently collaborating with other team members and stakeholders, both within and outside the company.
Required qualifications and skills:
- PhD + a few years of independent work experience in a relevant area, e.g. organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, medical technology, coatings or similar
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of synthetic and analytical organic chemistry
- Fluent in English and preferably in a Scandinavian language
Desired experiences and skills:
- Relevant industrial experience is highly meritorious
- Knowledge of organic and peptide synthesis
- Experience with patenting
- Experience of bringing projects and/or products from lab to manufacturing
- Knowledge of polymeric materials
- Strong communication skills, including writing and presenting
- Experience of working in organization adhering to a quality management system
