As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner, NES Advantage is now looking for a: Bulk Buyer (Norfolk Vanguard West HVDC project) with experience of onshore or offshore projects.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?

• Be the Package Responsible Buyer for bulk packages
• Prepare and develop procurement strategies
• Sourcing and pre-qualification of potential suppliers
• Prepare and issue enquiries and perform bid evaluations
• Negotiate contracts and purchase orders
• Ensure timely deliveries in accordance with budget and schedule
• Ensure that all activities are performed according to procedures
• Follow-up, control and report progress on contracts
• Report and manage risks
• Develop and maintain supplier relations

Qualifications we think you should have:

• Bachelor or Master within business and/or engineering. Extensive technical experience may compensate the lack of formal education. 
• At least 3 years of experience with project procurement
• Experienced with procurement/sales of bulk materials
• Good technical understanding and commercial skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Software Skills: MS Office and MIPS
• Fluent in English, written and spoken

Work location: Fornebu (Oslo), Norway.

Contract duration: August 2025 with option for extension
