In line with the increased number of cabin crew, SAS Scandinavia, Norway is expanding our Cabin Crew Management team with an additional Manager. Thus, expanding the team from four to five Managers. Want to be a part of our team?
A Cabin Crew Manager is an important part of SAS leadership and the actions of frontline management to motivate, guide, support and follow up, including follow up on absence.
The Aviation market is tough, and competition has increased, so it is of utmost importance that we continue to deliver the industry's best customer service on board, of course with safety as our priority performed by our excellent Cabin Crew. SAS is in the top of EU punctuality and the customers feedback on the Cabin Crew is above our set KPIs.

Who wants to take on the challenge of helping to further develop the Oslo base in close cooperation with and guided by the head office in Stockholm. The general workday is quite administrative:
- Answering mails from your Cabin Crew group (approximately 180 Cabin Crew per group) – as they are away flying, the e-mail is often the best communication tool.
- Act as the liaison between your Cabin Crew and the other functions in SAS
- Work environment (it is highly appreciated if the candidate has proven knowledge & experience of Norwegian work environment and processes)
- Following up on absence (it is highly appreciated if the candidate has strong knowledge & experience with NAV and absence in general)
- Securing working conditions for our cabin crew to achieve the high standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
- In your day-to-day leadership, cabin crew are at the center and in focus through strong communication, collaboration, and trust.
Your main duties will involve:
As a Cabin Manager, you will have personnel responsibility for around 180 Cabin Crew. An important focus of your leadership is to ensure that cabin crew have insight and understanding of SAS' operational & financial KPI’s, commercial offerings, and customer goals. You need to inspire your group of cabin crew and always keep "employee engagement" in mind. In the role as Cabin Manager, you are responsible for delivery and follow-up, communication, development and change work, competence development activities and recruitment processes.
You will also be a crucial part of renewed processes, decisions from Head Office which need to be implemented at the crew bases.
You are responsible for ensuring that cabin crew have the prerequisites to comply with the standard procedures for SAS Aviation Operations and coordinating scheduling issues with workforce planning.
You will also be responsible for the delegated daily working environment to Oslo Cabin Crew, and thus work with the working environment.
You will be included in a team responsible for sharing an "urgent phone clock".

Your background:
- Experience with HR, NAV, and planning is highly valued and will be considered a strong advantage
- You may have experience in aviation management
- You can demonstrate skills in "long-distance" management
- Working with large volume employee groups
- Relevant higher education
- Good language skills in all Scandinavian languages and English
- Good IT skills and administrative skills
- Experience with employee absence is an advantage
- Experience with work environment processes and laws is an advantage
