IT & Digital Business Partner Drilling & Wells

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Partner to empower Drilling & Wells (D&W) to achieve their business strategy through adopting digital solutions in the planning and execution of drilling activities in Vår Energi. The ideal candidate will have a strong value focus and a background in engineering, with expertise in digital technologies and their application across the well delivery process.

Main Tasks

• Be a strategical focal point between IT & Digital and D&W and align their digital agenda with the overall strategy and objectives of Vår Energi
• Understand business priorities, challenges and opportunities to mature, scope and facilitate prioritization of the right digital projects and initiatives across the well delivery process
• Lead the integration and implementation of digital technologies in D&W operations to enhance efficiency and performance
• Develop and implement data integration strategies to ensure seamless communication and data exchange across systems and applications within D&W
• Drive adoption and upskilling facilitating training, knowledge sharing and ensuring effective change management within D&W teams
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to continuously optimize digital initiatives, ensuring value realization and enhanced operational efficiency
• Manage vendor relationships to foster innovation in our digital ecosystem
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in the oil and gas industry, with focus on processes for planning and operations of D&W activities
• Knowledge and awareness of commonly used data structures in the industry such as OSDU, WITSML and other relevant standards
• Proficiency in data quality tools and technologies, data visualization tools, and data analysis techniques
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
