Join Vippsnumber and make payments easy

At Vipps MobilePay, we work every day to simplify the lives of people and businesses. We are looking for a talented Android developer to join the team working on our Vippsnumber product. You will be part of a skilled and social team consisting of a product manager, UX designer and several developers.

As a developer working on Vippsnumber, you will be working in the heart of Vipps. Vippsnumber is the easiest way for businesses to receive payments. The service is used for everything from fundraising to hot dog sales at local events. Every week, 2 million payments are made using Vippsnumber across Norway, Denmark, and Finland. Our goal is to make it easier and hassle free for small businesses and non-profit organizations to handle these payments so they can spend more time on what they are truly passionate about.

In your new job with us, you will be the expert on Android development. We have just created a brand new app for our businesses, and this is where you come in. You will be responsible for improving and maintaining the Android version of our new app, which already has 80,000 users. In addition to developing for this app, you will also be a key contributor to the Vipps app.

Our Android apps are written entirely in Kotlin/Compose. We appreciate clean, easily maintainable and readable code that solves the root of a problem, rather than code that treats symptoms with smart solutions.

Our developers get the freedom to work independently in a way that gives them technical ownership over the code they write. This gives you the ability to make changes you feel are necessary to keep up a good quality of code.

Together with the team, you will work to explore problems, needs, and new solutions for our users. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy gathering insights and talk to those who know our products the best - our users. Once on board with Norway's most beloved brand, you will be part of a strong professional environment in terms of product, design, and technology.

You are curious, a fast learner, and love using new technologies and insights to solve our customers' problems. It's a plus if you are creative and dare to think both big and bold. We hope you are also curious about data and use it as the basis for your decisions. You have been working with native development for a while and are comfortable being the sole Android developer in the team. If you need sparring, we have a large professional community across the organization with whom you will have close contact.
