The Piping Department at Aker Solutions is a key part of the New Build division based in Fornebu. Comprising approximately 60 highly skilled professionals, the department plays an essential role in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), and detailed design of complex onshore and offshore installations. Our expertise spans both the oil & gas sector and renewable energy projects.
We are looking for a Graduate & Young Professional - Piping Engineer to join our team at Fornebu.
If you are a graduate 2025, you will be a part of Aker Solutions’ graduate program 2025. This will give you the opportunity to build a professional network, meet fellow graduates from various locations, and visit our headquarters as well as one of our yards.
As our new Graduate Piping Engineer, you will work with design development of specific process systems as part of the engineering group involved in all phases of engineering design projects. That will include coordination and interface with internal and external customers and implementing the system and area details in the total design. Roles can be in projects both within renewables (hydrogen, carbon capture, etc.) as well as oil and gas segments and may include the following activities:
- Layout Design for assigned systems / areas using 3D modelling
- Piping Support design and selection
- Pipe Stress analysis of system lines
- Piping Class development and relevant datasheets
- Piping Engineering activities related to valve selection (Package Responsible Engineer)
- Coordination and interface communication with other disciplines within engineering team and towards Procurement, Construction, Completion and other Contractors, ensuring consistent and correct application and implementation of standardization and selected engineering solutions

- A higher education degree within engineering, specialization within Mechanical, Material or Civil Engineering
- Strong teamworking skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, international environment
- A passion for continuous learning and developing your expertise
- Proven ability to deliver results and consistently meet customer expectations
- A technical and analytical mindset, paired with strong commercial awareness
- A commitment to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) principles
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
