Business Coordinator/Finance Officer
80% Permanent Business Coordinator/Temporary 20% Finance Officer until June 2025

As the Business Coordinator/Finance Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in our vibrant community, overseeing both the human capital and financial aspects of our esteemed institution. Here is what you can look forward to:
Business and Financial Stewardship: Manage the school’s finances with precision and foresight. Your expertise will be instrumental in budgeting, financial planning, and ensuring compliance with regulations, enabling us to allocate resources effectively.
Responsible for managing the school’s payroll, insurance and pension schemes. Maintain accurate databases of students, parents and staff. Manage the invoicing system for the school tuition.
Continuous improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in finance processes, focusing on best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Community engagement: Build strong relationships with staff and stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for financial matters.
Global perspective: Embrace the diversity of our international community and contribute to our mission of fostering intercultural understanding and global citizenship.
Relevant Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Desired Experience:
- Proven experience in payroll and finance, or a related field, ideally within an educational or multicultural environment.
- Strong computer skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in financial management software. It would be an advantage to have the knowledge of Simployer and Unimicro
- Knowledge of labour laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Knowledge of salary negotiations and payroll systems.
- Knowledge of insurance and pension schemes
- Advantage to be fluent in both Norwegian and English.

ISB is a co-educational private day school which is authorised to deliver the International Baccalaureate PYP and MYP programmes. The school currently enrols approximately 250 students from more than 30 nations and is experiencing expanding enrollment. Classes are small with a maximum of 20 students in each instructional group.
