Recharge is a pioneer in the electric car industry and has operated a publicly available charging network for electric cars since 2011. Recharge has over 80 employees and is a leading operator for charging stations in the Nordic region and operates more than 4,000 charging stations in Norway, Finland, Sweden & Denmark. We are now seeking an experienced Technical Systems Owner to join the Tech department and this role is critical to the success of our organization, as it ensures that our systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with our strategic goals.

Job description

As Technical System Owner, you will be responsible for one or more business critical systems, taking full technical ownership of the systems in your domain. You will be a part of the Tech organization that has the overall responsibility of all charging infrastructure software systems, public cloud platforms and IT systems. We are growing as a team and everyone joining the team has the opportunity to contribute to multiple areas and is expected to be able to work independently and in collaboration with the rest of the team. 

We think a successful candidate has an Engineering background as Systems Engineers or similar that have over time taken more complete ownership of the systems including Product Manager/Owner aspects. 

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the strategic roadmap for the system, aligning with business goals and objectives. 
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of the system from procurement, initial deployment/integration through development, support and maintenance during production, to decommissioning the system or service.
• Contribute to the development of Recharges overall system architecture including our Public Cloud platform. 
• Provide expert troubleshooting and third-line support for various systems, with a proactive focus on implementing improvements and enhancements, not just resolving immediate issues. 
• Implement performance tuning and optimization strategies as needed. 
• Ensure systems are robust, scalable and complies with relevant regulations, industry standards, and security best practices.

Success factors

• IT/Automation Bachelor/ Technical Education.
• Experience with back-end systems for hardware components, preferably within EV charging.
• Enjoy having end-to-end responsibility and being highly self-driven.
• Experience of software development, scripting/low code on Public Cloud is an advantage.
• Certified project management training is an advantage. 
• Experience from an international working environment. 
• Excellent English proficiency is needed and one of the Scandinavian languages is preferred.

Place of work: at our HQ in Moss or central Stockholm, depending on the ideal candidate. Some travelling will be required, primarily within the Nordic region. This role reports to the Chief Technical Officer.
