Become the coolest Business Controller in Norway
We’re looking for a Senior Business Controller to bring their financial expertise to the most exciting industry around – gaming! If you’re ready to go beyond the spreadsheets and help shape the future of our business, this role is for you.
How we make an impact
At Gameopedia, we started with a simple mission: to be the ultimate geeky gamer friend, helping gamers discover the best games with top-tier recommendations. Today, we deliver industry-leading video game data and insights to the world’s biggest companies, like YouTube, Samsung, and Amazon, shaping millions of gaming decisions globally. Our growth from a small startup to a key player in the industry has been driven by our commitment to providing “extra-ordinary” gaming experiences. Now, as we transition into a product-focused company, we are developing B2B solutions that will transform how people interact with games.
As we scale up, our vision for the next three years is to create “extra-ordinary” experiences for a billion gamers every day. Join us in shaping the future of gaming!
How you’ll make an impact
To deliver on our vision of creating “extra-ordinary” experiences for a billion gamers every day, you will step into the pivotal role of Senior Business Controller—the first at Gameopedia. This means you get the opportunity to mould the position to fit your expertise and shape our financial processes from the ground up. You’ll be instrumental in developing efficient reporting systems and providing the financial insights needed for strategic decision-making at the highest level.
Reporting directly to the Co-CEO in Norway and working closely with the COO in India, you’ll hold a strategic role in driving profitability, customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Your insights will influence key decisions across the company, while your collaboration with teams in HR, sales, marketing and product development will ensure our financial strategies align with our business goals. As you make an impact in this role, we hope to see you evolve into a position taking on even greater responsibilities in shaping our financial future.
What you can expect from us
- A passionate team that’s shaping the future of gaming! Plus, you’ll finally get to say, “I work in the gaming industry!” – how cool is that?
- Managers and teams who genuinely care about you – not just as an employee, but as a person. We value who you are, your well-being and your personal growth.
- An attractive compensation package, which includes comprehensive health insurance, paid parental leave, a solid pension plan and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), so you can share in our growth and success.
- A collaborative, inclusive environment where diverse perspectives are truly valued and every team member is empowered to contribute, innovate and grow. With open communication, involvement in decision-making, cross-functional teamwork and ability to craft your personal and professional development plan with your manager, you’ll have the support to thrive.
- An international environment, connecting with colleagues and customers worldwide, including Norway, India and the US.
- Hybrid work is cool with us! Just pop by the office occasionally so we remember what you look like. And when you do, you’ll find us conveniently located next to Lillestrøm train station – just a quick 10-minute ride from Oslo S!
- Work-Life Balance – We get it, life happens! Whether it's errands, appointments, mental offloading or family time, you get the flexibility to shape your schedule.
- A work culture built on our core values: We go above and beyond (‘Extra-Ordinary’), we put people first (Human-Centric), we stay dedicated (Committed), we communicate openly (Clear & Transparent) and we always do the right thing (Integrity)
