IT and Digital Business Partner - Subsurface

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Business Partner to empower Subsurface to achieve their business strategy through the development of a strong data foundation and adoption of digital capabilities.
The ideal candidate will bring a results-driven mindset, with a deep background in Petroleum Geoscience and Engineering, combined with expertise in data and digital technologies, and their application across the subsurface domain.

Main tasks

• Serve as the strategic liaison between IT & Digital and the Subsurface team, ensuring alignment and common understanding of a unified digital agenda with Vår Energi's overall strategy and business objectives.
• Gain a deep understanding of business priorities, challenges, and opportunities to effectively mature, scope, and prioritize the most impactful digital projects and initiatives across the subsurface value chain
• Lead the integration and implementation of digital technologies in subsurface to enhance efficiency and performance
• Develop and implement data integration strategies for seamless communication and data exchange across subsurface systems and applications
• Drive adoption and upskilling by facilitating training, knowledge sharing, and ensuring effective change management within subsurface teams
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to continuously optimize digital initiatives, ensuring value realization and enhanced operational efficiency
• Manage vendor relationships to foster innovation in our digital ecosystem
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in subsurface related field like, geoscience or petroleum engineering
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in the oil and gas industry with extensive expertise in data and digital technologies, and their application across the subsurface domain
• Knowledge and awareness of data standards/initiatives within the industry
• Proficiency in data quality tools and technologies, data visualization tools, and data analysis techniques
• Excellent communication skills including presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
