WHAT IS THE OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY IN THE POSITION?

There are 2 main goals for this position:

1. EIDEL needs to expand its capacity in order to handle several development projects simultaneously. 
2. Further develop and expand in-house knowledge and competence with regards to PCB design.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

A keen interest in Space, Defense, Security or Data Acquisition is a plus.

You can speak, read and write English fluently.

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of advanced printed circuit boards (PCBs) with a focus on high performance and reliability.
• Design of electronic circuits and schematics, including selection of components and materials.
• PCB layout optimization for signal integrity, thermal performance, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
• Development of electronic solutions from concept to finished product.
• Testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electronic prototypes to ensure functionality and quality.
• Documentation of design processes, specifications, test plans and test reports.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic components into our products.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Siemens Xpedition Enterprise / PADS, or similar.
• Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics, as well as experience with circuit board design, schematics, and layout.
• Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) is an advantage.
• Experience with system testing and delivery tests is an advantage.
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI standards and design practices is an advantage.
• Knowledge of FPGA programming requirements, physical requirements and interface to other PCB components is an advantage.
• Knowledge of VHDL coding is an advantage in understanding digital electronic design.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

Candidates must be able to achieve Norwegian security clearance.
