At Stokke, the accounting team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial operations run smoothly, supporting the company’s commitment to quality and efficiency. The team is composed of five highly skilled and specialized accountants, each bringing their expertise to a collaborative environment. They handle a range of financial functions from full-cycle accounts payable to complex reconciliations and reporting tasks, all while adhering to the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
The team works cohesively, promoting a flexible and dynamic approach to the evolving needs of the company. Their work involves regular interaction with other departments and external entities, such as banks, auditors, and tax authorities, to ensure compliance with local and international regulations. A strong emphasis is placed on the use of advanced IT systems to streamline workflows and enhance financial reporting, making technology integration an essential part of the team's operation.
Take Responsibility, The Position:
As an Accountant at Stokke, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the accounting department, ranging from full-cycle Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliation, and Follow-up, to customs declarations and VAT reporting.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous accounting experience and a keen eye for spotting numerical mistakes. You will be part of a dedicated team of five accountants, so flexibility and a team-oriented approach to new assignments are key. A strong understanding of IT systems will be advantageous.
- Full cycle invoice processing – scan, code, and process supplier invoices
- Create payment proposals & other payments
- Set up and maintain new suppliers
- Daily bank postings and bank reconciliation
- Misc. Accounting Entries
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in month end reporting procedures
- VAT Reporting
- Ad-hoc accounting work
Better Together, The Ideal Profile:
- Degree in Accounting
- Good understanding of Excel, basic understanding of SQLs and pivot tables
- Fluent English both written and verbally
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize
- Solid problem-solving skills
- System focused
- Independent
- Team player
- Experience with Eye-Share and M3 is an advantage
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in the field of accounting
