Join Our Expert Team: Scientists and Engineers for Analytical Development at Xellia API R&D
We are looking for new colleagues to join the Analytical Development Department in Xellia API R&D and contribute to the crucial process development for the manufacture of life-saving antibiotics. We are hiring both scientists and engineers at multiple seniority levels, seeking experienced professionals as well as senior and principal scientists to strengthen our team.
Xellia API R&D is organized in different departments located in Oslo, Copenhagen, and Budapest with a total of about 50 employees. In Oslo, we have three departments located in modern office- and lab-facilities. Currently, we have vacant positions in the Analytical Development Department.
Analytical Development department is responsible for development and validation of analytical methods. The department utilizes a variety of analytical techniques including HPLC/UHPLC, LC-MS/MS, 2D-LC-MS, GC-FID/MS, NMR, FT-IR, UV/VIS, ICP-OES, TGA/DSC and wet chemistry techniques. Additionally, the department performs isolation and characterization of impurities in connection with production and registration of existing and new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
As a team member in Analytical Development, you will have the responsibility for the analytical methods for our products and will be working closely with a highly skilled team of scientists and technical personnel located in R&D, production, QC-labs and regulatory affairs.
Responsibilities and qualifications for scientists across seniority levels
Main Responsibilities
· Development and validation of HPLC/UHPLC and GC methods for both existing and new products.
· Plan, design and evaluate experiments performed in close collaboration with other scientists and laboratory technicians.
· Evaluate and report data ensuring traceability and documentation of results in accordance with GMP.
· Ensure transfer of analytical methods to other departments locally or globally within the company or to CMOs.
· Participating in project work and being responsible for development of the complete package needed for analytical control of the product, both for release, stability and in-process monitoring
· Investigating and characterizing impurities in existing and new products.
· Providing support to Regulatory Affairs and Quality functions during inspections and in connection with product filings etc.
Qualifications
· M.Sc. or Ph.D. in analytical chemistry and 2-5 years of experience from biotech/pharmaceutical industry or other relevant experience.
· Strong in method development in HPLC/UHPLC and GC.
· Good knowledge of validation of analytical methods.
· Experience of working with LC-MS and spectroscopic techniques.
· Wide experience in standard analytical techniques.
· Good knowledge of Pharmacopeias and relevant guidelines.
· Experience of work under the GMP regulatory framework.
· Strong collaboration skills and a passion for laboratory work.
Role Overview and Qualifications for Engineers
Main Responsibilities
· Participate in development of analytical methods for existing and new antibiotics.
· Plan and execute experiments.
· Openly share results in alignment with project plans.
· Document experiments in laboratory journals and batch records.
· Conduct maintenance of instruments and equipment.
· Ensure HSE, Quality and GMP in accordance with current requirements.
Qualifications
· B.Sc in Analytical Chemistry or similar.
· Experience in working with HPLC/UHPLC.
· Experience of work under the GMP regulatory framework.
· Enthusiastic in laboratory work, with a keen interest in learning equipment and software
· Experience from analytical laboratory in a pharmaceutical company will be an advantage.
· A team player with strong collaboration skills and a passion for laboratory work.
· Excellent accuracy and efficiency.
