Jefferson Wells is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer/SAS for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in engineering within modification projects, particularly with Equinor as a client. You should have a strong understanding of SAS design and experience working independently on multidisciplinary projects.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for automation/SAS deliveries in studies and execution projects.
- Estimate and plan the scope of work for the discipline.
- Develop design documentation and technical solutions for SAS systems.
- Prepare SCDs, sequence diagrams, HMI sketches, functional specifications, IO lists, signal lists, and similar documents.
- Deliver technical documentation in accordance with client requirements and specifications, and update customer databases with metadata.
- Prepare work packages for installation.
- Act as package manager for SAS, including developing documentation for SAS vendors and providing technical follow-up with control system suppliers.
- Collaborate with and follow up with subcontractors.
- Prepare change documentation for control systems.
- Work closely with other disciplines within the project and with the client.
Background and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or a technical certificate combined with 12 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from engineering in modification projects, preferably with Equinor as a client.
- Experience working independently in multidisciplinary modification projects with responsibility for detailed engineering of automation/SAS deliveries.
- Offshore experience, such as conducting surveys, is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of Equinor’s requirements, specifications, and working methodology (e.g., ARIS project execution model) is highly desirable.
- Experience with SAS design using ABB and Siemens systems.
- Familiarity with system tools such as MS Office (required), and Microstation, STID, ProCoSys, SAP, and ARIS (preferred).
- Valid certifications in FSE with first aid and practical CPR, as well as basic Ex training (classroom), are required.
- Offshore certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Norwegian is preferred but not a requirement
