As the HSEQ Manager, you will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, focusing on ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and on HSE (health, safety, and environmental) regulations. You’ll own our Quality & Environmental Management System (QEMS), working closely with the Safety & Privileges Manager, who oversees the Safety Management System (SMS).
Your role will involve managing compliance with EASA aviation standards, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the NU Group ESG initiatives, advancing our environmental sustainability efforts and supporting social responsibility within the company. You’ll play an integral part in supporting operational excellence and helping us meet our commitment to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability, exceeding our customers expectations!
It is a requirement for this position that applicants must have a residential address in Norway.
What You’ll Do:
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to EASA regulations, ISO standards, and other requirements. Manage and execute audit plans, maintain detailed records, and regularly report on compliance status. Owner of relationship with the certification bodies.
System Development & Knowledge Management: Drive continuous improvement of the management system. Stay current on regulations, conduct training on HSEQ, and oversee compliance obligations across all operational areas.
Quality & Project Support: Develop and maintain management systems, manage non-conformances, and provide HSEQ support across projects, ensuring alignment with internal and customer quality standards.
HSE, Risk, and ESG Initiatives: Perform risk assessments, lead environmental assessments, oversee chemical safety, and contribute to ESG projects focused on sustainability and social responsibility. Ensure HSE compliance in all regions we operate throughout Europe.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor degree or higher in a related field, or relevant work experience within HSEQ management.
- Experience from manned or unmanned aviation industry is a benefit, preferably with knowledge within aviation and EASA aviation standards.
- Proven experience in HSEQ management
- Strong compliance, auditing, and risk management skills.
- Experienced with root cause investigations.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator across teams.
- Dedication to safety, sustainability, and quality improvements.
The role is primarily intended in our main office in Sandnes in Norway, but for the right candidate we can consider hybrid solutions with remote office.
