We are seeking a highly motivated Water/Wastewater Process and Hydraulic Design Engineer to design and optimize treatment processes and hydraulic systems for wastewater treatment facilities. This dual role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop efficient treatment solutions, as well as designing process piping, pumping systems, and hydraulic grade lines. Your expertise will be crucial in scaling our technologies and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Process and Hydraulic Design Engineer, you will:
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects.
- Develop and analyze hydraulic systems for wastewater treatment, including process piping, pumping systems, and hydraulic grade lines.
- Conduct hydraulic and process modeling and simulations to evaluate system performance and optimize design parameters.
- Collaborate with R&D, process engineering, and project teams to integrate hydraulic designs with overall treatment processes.
- Collaborate and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines.
- Contribute to technology testing, pilot programs, and commissioning of new systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations in both process and hydraulic design.
- Develop and maintain detailed engineering drawings/3-D Models, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support and training to operational staff and construction teams.
- Conduct field assessments and inspections to verify system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Oversee the integration of our proprietary modular filtration solutions into existing infrastructure.
Technical Skills
- Water and wastewater process design.
- Design of wastewater pumping systems.
- Design of pipes and piping systems.
- Proficient in developing P&IDs
- Proficiency in 3-D CAD /BIM software will be favorable.
- Proficiency in process and hydraulic modelling software will be favorable.
Qualifications
- Masters in civil /Environmental, Mechanical, Process Engineering or related fields.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater and hydraulic process design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of advanced water treatment technologies and filtration systems.
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics and hydraulic principles.
- Strong understanding of pumps and pumping systems.
- Proficient in Norwegian (or Swedish/Danish) and English (spoken and written).

- Some leadership experience will be favorable.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
