Zaptec is looking for a Business Controller!
The electric vehicle market is expanding rapidly, driving a growing need for smart charging solutions. Zaptec, a Norwegian world leader in this field, has made a significant mark both domestically and internationally with its innovative, in-house developed products. We are listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker ZAP.
As Zaptec continues to grow and evolve, so does the complexity of our operations. Our finance team is embarking on an exciting journey to enhance our management model, processes, and reporting to match the organization's dynamic needs. To help us navigate this complexity, we seek a highly motivated Business Controller to play a key role in shaping the future of our finance function.
In this role, you will be an integral part of a small but dynamic finance team in Norway (currently five members). You’ll have the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities across a wide range of financial tasks and contribute to the continued success of a pioneering company in the EV space.
In this role, we believe some of your tasks will be:
- Contact person and responsible for external accounting agencies, both in Norway and abroad
- Group budgeting responsible
- Project review, including tax refunds
- Review and follow up on subsidiaries outside Norway
- Internal control monitoring and analysis
- Other tasks within the finance team
- Internal super-user in Visma.net
We’re looking for a Business Controller with strong financial experience, a proactive mindset, and an eye for both detail and the bigger picture. You’ll thrive here if you’re result-driven, motivated by continuous improvement, and eager to prioritize and execute in a fast-growing company.

We also believe you will need the following
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in auditing, controlling, accounting, or a similar role
- Strong system competence and skills in Excel
- Experience with annual settlement programs, consolidation systems, and analysis tools like PowerBI
- Experience with company reporting under IFRS will be an advantage
- Good oral and written skills, both in Norwegian and English
