As part of our ongoing development plans for the latest version of our SaaS platform, we are looking to add capacity to our product management team by adding a new Product Owner to help define and realise the vision of the product and the company’s roadmap.

The product owner, as part of the product management team, is responsible for the entire process from understanding customer work processes and needs, through to specification, design and roll out. 

The role is a key part of ensuring the platform has high value features and functions meeting customer needs. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers, other disciplines such as developers, UX/UI designers and other product managers to shape our cloud platform.

What is the responsibility?

• Explore and understand customer/market needs and requirements. 
• Translate customer needs into product specifications in a manner that gives most value to the Sharecat Platform, aligning with the company vision and strategy. 
• Working closely with UX/UI designers and the development team to specify necessary input defining the scope to be handed over for development. 
• Lead review processes, including interacting with Customers, to collect feedback on specifications and designs for planned functionality to make modifications and improvements prior to handover to the development team. 
• Support technical and development teams in execution including clarifications and follow up. 
• Testing of new features and functions prior to release. 
• Create documentation such as user guides and release notes. 
• Participate in defining roadmap and release plans. 
• Participate in sprint planning and reviews. 
• Rank and prioritize User Stories / Backlog Items. 
• Support deployment of functionality. 
• Support client implementation processes as necessary. 
• Provide internal training to implementation and support personnel. 

Who are you?

• Experience in product development processes and methods (min. 2 years).
• Background and understanding of work processes and companies in heavy and complex industries would be ideal. 
• Strong good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and oral.
• If you also have an interest in visual/graphic and UI design, it is an advantage.
