We are located in Stavanger, Bergen, Hammerfest and Poland.
We are now looking for a Procurement manager in Stavanger.
Duties and responsibilities
For the right candidate we have available an exciting position in our Supply chain organization. The position will be based in Stavanger in one of our contracts within Oil & Gas M&M or OP& S business areas. You will work in close cooperation with Head of Supply Chain, Project Managers, Project Supply Chain Team and relevant disciplines.
- Managing the overall project procurement process from project start-up to completion
- Managing, motivating and developing a dedicated project procurement team
- Ensure compliance with Moreld Apply’s and Client’s relevant procurement policies, directives and procedures
- Give input to development of project contract strategy, including sub-contracting strategy
- Supervise Package responsible buyer (PRB) in development and implementation of package specific strategies and ensure commercial mindset during procurement package follow-up
- Execute procurement activities with the objective of obtaining the right service/supply at the right time to the best quality and value for the project/client
- Ensure the project procurement team adhere to Moreld Apply’s and Client’s ethical policies and rules and that personnel always behave in an ethical and professional manner
- Managing pre award and post award activities in accordance with Moreld Apply procurement procedures and practice
- Manage and develop good relationships with suppliers with respect to expectations, execution and control of procurement activities
- Challenge and contribute to the development and improvement of supplier's quality and efficiency
- Collaborating with suppliers for better utilization of the supplier’s competence and capabilities
- Ensure compliance to Change management process in the procurement team
- Ensure continuous improvement through the capture and capitalization of lessons learnt
- Obtain knowledge of the Contract's contents and make sure that all functions related to the position are carried out in accordance with the Contract.
- Develop and maintain procurement plans and ensure that all members understand the principles of the overall project plan.
- Assist Project Manager in obtaining true commitment from team members in meeting project milestones and delivering on time and within budget.
- Ensure that HSE/QA requirements are implemented in the pre-qualification, enquiries, tender evaluation, bid clarification and agreements with vendors/suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordination of subcontractors and supplier activities to ensure correct progress measurement and reporting, assist engineering in quality surveillance activities, follow-up of expediting plans and ensure that inspection and testing programs are developed according to Contract Scope of Work.
- Ensure efficient coordination of internal interfaces towards engineering, fabrication and installation within the project organization as well as efficient handling of external interfaces towards sub-contractors, suppliers or other contractors on site.
Qualifications
- University degree in relevant discipline
- Long relevant experience and/or additional qualifications may in certain cases compensate for lack of relevant formal education
- Preferably minimum 5 years’ experience in offshore maintenance & modification projects
- Advanced user level Microsoft Office (Powerpoint and Excel skills in particular).
