As Marine Engineer, do you want to solve tough challenges for the global energy industry?

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Marine Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects. The project is based in Stord and requires on-site work within a 37.5-hour work week.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?

• Develop and maintain the marine basis for projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate and update marine work sequences to meet project requirements.
• Prepare documentation, emphasizing construction-friendly and HSSE-focused design.
• Integrate design revisions, DCNs, and fabrication deviations into the marine basis.
• Verify designs, clarify requirements, and address documentation gaps with suppliers.
• Prioritize HSSE in all aspects of work execution.

Qualifications we think you should have:

• Relevant degree in engineering.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong theoretical and practical background in structural and fabrication engineering, with knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Proficient in creating detailed 3D fabrication drawings in Aveva E3D, including welding information, and experienced in verifying design-to-fabrication deliveries.
• Skilled in Staad-Pro, AutoCAD, PDMS, Sesam, StruProg, Mathcad, 3D/2D CAD, and technical registers like MIPS.
• Familiarity with PEM.
