EICT Engineer / Senior EICT Engineer | Golar LNG

We are looking for a EICT Engineer / Senior EICT Engineer (Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Telecom) to provide technical support to our Asset Teams. The position will be part of the FLNG Technical Support Team within FLNG Operations, handling all engineering needs towards our Assets. The position is based in Oslo, Norway, but requires a willingness to travel since our sites and FLNG’s are located around the globe.

As an EICT Engineer / Senior EICT Engineer in FLNG Operations, you will play a critical role in monitoring and maintaining electrical, instrumentation, control, and telecom systems. You will work on a range of projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure all systems are optimized, reliable, and meet industry standards. You will also be contributing to setting the standards for new projects within the EICT discipline.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Electro, Instrument, Control, and Telecom systems for operating FLNG assets
• Provide technical support to FLNG assets and teams
• Coordinate/lead projects within the EICT discipline, manage them from concept through completion, as required
• Ensure optimal maintenance strategies for EICT systems
• Participate and support Asset teams in maintenance planning activities related to EICT discipline. Prepare and oversee the scope of maintenance activities within the discipline.
• Prepare and oversee scope for maintenance stops.
• Manage vendors within the EICT discipline, including service agreements, to ensure optimal maintenance strategies and effective cost control.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/automation engineering , or equivalent
• Min 2 years of experience in EICT, focusing on support, maintenance, or modification projects in the Oil and Gas industry or Maritime industry
• Professional fluency in both written and spoken English
• Passionate to work in multi-cultural environment
• Able to work independently, but also collaborate as part of a team
