Senior Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design, calculations, and engineering of electrical equipment and systems in projects and studies.
- Ensure electrical designs comply with applicable laws, regulations, standards, HSE guidelines, and contract requirements.
- Develop and review technical specifications for HV/MV/LV equipment, including power transformers, switchgear, substations, subsea cables, and more.
- Manage suppliers of HV/MV/LV equipment, including negotiations and contracts in collaboration with the electrical discipline lead and procurement teams.
- Oversee procurement packages for high voltage electrical equipment and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
- Attend factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, commissioning, and handover of equipment to clients.
- Contribute to meeting project milestones, budget, and quality requirements.
- Manage changes and risks within your area of responsibility.
- Support the tender and bidding phases of projects.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement within an integrated multi-discipline team.
- Assist the base department in developing electrical system design procedures and routines.
- Some travel may be required, both offshore and onshore.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Power Systems Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in offshore studies and projects on the Norwegian shelf.
- Extensive multi-discipline experience in studies and EPC projects.
- Strong knowledge in developing HV design, specifications, and calculations.
- Familiarity with high voltage electrical design and equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of offshore substation design, operations, and maintenance.
- Experience with electrical software such as ETAP, Dig SILENT, and TraceCalc for system design and verification.
- Proficient in reviewing and ensuring the quality of third-party platform network system analyses.
- Knowledge of offshore substation design standards, including DNV GL, IEC, EN, and IEEE.
- Experience with both Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
- Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
