Sales Manager
About the Role
We are now looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in Norway, focusing on driving growth within the shipping sector. As a Sales Manager within the shipping sector, you will play a key role in developing and managing relationships with our clients and prospects. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our fleet performance management services.
This is a dynamic role where you will work closely with both external clients and internal product and delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction and drive environmental and operational sustainability.
Main Responsibilities
- Actively engage in sales activities, including client outreach, and participation in sales meetings to drive business growth in the Norwegian market
- Lead business development efforts for the shipping sector, identifying potential clients and generating leads
- Build and manage strong relationships with both new and existing customers
- Represent StormGeo in client meetings, delivering presentations, and negotiating contracts
- Collaborate closely with our product development teams to ensure our solutions meet client needs
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about StormGeo’s suite of solutions and the competitive landscape
- Drive revenue growth by achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Manage the sales pipeline, providing regular forecasts and updates to senior management
Core Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally within the shipping or maritime sectors.
- Strong understanding of the shipping industry, fleet performance management, and weather intelligence.
- Proven track record of successfully closing sales and developing business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian (both written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel to meet clients and attend industry events as needed.
