Safety & Environment Engineer - Working Environment with experience in onshore or offshore projects.

We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Working Environment Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing working environment activities within our projects. Your expertise will be crucial in performing comprehensive working environment analyses, assessments, and evaluations across various domains such as ergonomics, human factors, chemicals, noise, vibration, biological agents, illumination, climate conditions, radiation, and psychosocial/organizational conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute working environment activities in projects.
- Conduct working environment analyses, assessments, and evaluations.
- Prepare and update design engineering documentation and reports.
- Implement relevant working environment design requirements in equipment procurement and supplier follow-up.
- Plan and prepare working environment reviews, including WEHRA.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant education at BSc or MSc level within science/engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in working environment engineering, preferably within the Norwegian Oil & Gas industry or other relevant sectors.
- Detailed knowledge of Norwegian regulations and standards, including NORSOK S-002, C-001, and C-002.
- Proactive with excellent communication and cooperation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Evaluation Criteria:
- Expertise in noise control and HMI/Human Factor Engineering.
- Ability to conduct Working Environment Health Risk Assessments (HRA).
- Capability to establish WEAL/WEAC reports.
- Solid knowledge of technical working environment standards.
