You will be trusted to elevate our content, ensuring great visual stories and engaging knowledge building in our social media channels. Every day, you will work in a global organisation with a strong professional environment. Together with our Social Media Manager, you will plan and make content across all of the organisation’s functions and key messages, both text, photos and videos.

Norges Bank Investment Management has close to 140,000 followers in social media. Today, we have our biggest presence on LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram. The fund is only invested outside of Norway, but our owners are the Norwegian people. We communicate in English, but we also respond to questions in Norwegian.

Through social media we reach out to younger and more varied audiences compared to other channels of communication. We see a trend of media picking up our stories, or quote us from our responses in DMs or comments section. Precision and getting facts straight is a top priority for us.

Social media is also a key driver for promoting Norway’s most popular business podcast; In Good Company. The podcast has had guests such as Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Sam Altman, Jensen Huang and many more.

You will be part of a small team with highly skilled communication specialists, where everyone helps each other out and have a sharing culture.

You will also work closely with the CEO and the rest of the leader group as well as many of our highly skilled employees in the various departments.

What you will do

With the increasing importance of video in all algorithms, you need to have strong visual communication skills. Your tasks will mainly be to:

• Plan and produce content such as videos, text and photos together with our social media manager.
• Contribute to the development of our content and storytelling, with a strong focus on visual communication.
• Enable other departments to identify good external stories.
• Follow up and engage with our online communities, through comments, DMs and other’s content across platforms, in both English and Norwegian, in tandem with our social media manager.

What you need

• Relevant education.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in professional video editing tools (such as Final cut, DaVinci, Premiere Pro, After Effects and/or similar).

Can you deliver on very tight deadlines, maintain a very high level of precision, and are you eager to take our content to the next level? If so, you might be the person we are looking for. You understand that the path from idea to execution is short and thrive in an environment that’s fast paced. You need to handle all parts of the content making process, from A to Z. You are creative yet precise, and you know how to simplify complex messages to make our audience understand. We believe you will excel in this role if you are self-driven, take ownership, and have specialised expertise in communications, content production or journalism. We have many different target audiences to reach so all our social media content is in English, which means you must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English. However, our owners are the people of Norway, and engaging with key stakeholders like this is a top priority.
