Engineering Manager
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join our IoT/HW team to guide a diverse engineering team to new heights!
About the team: Our IoT/HW team is made up of both hardware and software engineers and their mission is to ensure high-quality, stable data capture from our IoT deployment with over 550,000 assets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead IoT/HW Team: Inspire and guide the team to create top-tier software and hardware products that meet business needs and adhere to best practices.
- Risk and Compliance Management: Ensure all products meet regulatory standards and maintain ABAX's quality targets for both in-house and 3rd party products.
- Enhance Operational Efficiency: Streamline workflows and tools, use KPIs to track performance, and drive continuous improvements in engineering processes.
- Production coordination: Coordinate and facilitate production of in-house and 3rd party HW products by running RFPs, and managing existing vendors and production partners.
- Develop and Manage IoT/HW Team: Foster a culture of collaboration, coach engineers, and manage performance reviews and development plans.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with engineers, product managers, and external suppliers to meet deadlines and product requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ensure accurate technical documentation and reporting for product performance, production, and quality assurance.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee data quality checks, product production, testing, and compliance audits to ensure high-quality deliverables.
We Believe You Have:
- Experience: Strong background in both hardware and software development, with a focus on hardware and hardware production.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and drive performance.
- Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of hardware development, compliance regulations, hardware production, and agile methodologies.
- Communication: Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
- Problem-solving: Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and multitasking abilities.

- Remote Status: Hybrid – The team works from the office every Tuesday and Wednesday, and from home on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
